Starving people hoping for a morsel of food from OFCB Ministries

I (BB) received these two pictures along with the following email from Amilor at the school in Bayonnais (September 16, 2008). These two pictures depict the mass hunger as a result of Hurricanes Hannah and Ike and the subsequent flooding of their fields and the killing of their livestock. Soon after the flooding, the school chose to use the food purchased for the children to help alleviate the mass hunger around the school. Word has spread throughout those mountains of the availability of food at the school. But, as you read Amilor's email, you will know that there is never enough:

Hello,

These two pictures will help you have an idea about how people so desperately want food. I took these pictures yesterday (September 15, 2008) while they were waiting for the food OFCB is giving. There has never been a day that the food is enough. The number of plates are always higher than the food available. Sometimes we use 5 boilers, sometimes 6, or 7 or even eight. The cooks said to me that they do not really know what to do to satisfy everyone. Every day more people walk for miles to come to eat here at the school.

This is the reason why we take time to thank you for your good love toward us in Bayonnais. May God continue his love for you and family.
