Bayonnais Crusade

Greetings to the two of you from Bayonnais, Haiti.

The crusade has been just great so far. 28 souls have come to know the Lord and many have been encouraged. Over 2,000 were gathered at the soccer field last night. Hebreu Feulle, a brother from Gonaives, has been doing the preaching. We have rented a very powerful sound system. It is powerful enough for us to sell electricity to a great many area homes (See pictures below.)

The interdenominational choir has been fantastic. This week has been a true holy week for Bayonnais. Hundreds of people came from Savane ronde every night to be part of the crusade. I will ask Amilor to send some photos. He was one of the two worship leaders last night and I tell you, he did a marvelous job. Nobody has been left out. Witch doctors as well as Christians and non church folks have been invited. ALEHB is the Association of Evangelical Leaders of Higher Bayonnais. It was founded in 1998 during the crusade of bringing churches from all different denominations to Jesus Christ's feet for the purpose of proclaiming the good news to the population of Bayonnais. Let's bloom where we are planted.

One hundred seventy-five (175) people will complete their 2 weeks of work (12 days) this coming Saturday and they will be paid rice on Saturday the 11th of April. Tomorrow, the youth will start their camp until Sunday and Baptism in the water will take place on Saturday also. The young folks, maybe more than 100 boys and girls, will sleep in the new school building during their camp.

School Progress

Can you imagine how busy the OFCB campus is at this of the month? Surely, there will be several hundred people around here on Monday to be partakers of the concrete pouring on the new school. Meanwhile, tremendous progress is being done with the roof of the new school building. We are trying not to change the date to pour the concrete, Monday the 13th of April. What a day in Bayonnais! The rebar men might finish their work on Friday and the carpenter finished last Friday.

This week seems to have been ,so far, the most productive one for OFCB Ministries since the ministry got started in January 1994.

Two New Babies

Two new babies have been born this week. Praise the great God almighty for those parents. As we are rejoicing with them, we are asking you, please, to rejoice with Wallace and Venette whose baby boy was born yesterday morning in Bayonnais with few complication. Rose-Nelcia, the best friend of David Nichols in Bayonnais, has a brother who was born last Sunday night. Her mother has 4 kids now, but cannot tell how many the dad has...POLYGAMY...BAD message for the children.

I will keep you informed as we move forward.
