Dear friends and partners in the Lord
Merry Christmas and blessed happy New Year 2003 to each one of you.
Since I got back from the USA on the 18th of November 2002, 1 have been struggling ling with lots of things which have required prayers, thoughts and actions. And frankly I have been weeping and crying a lot ‑ I have discovered that more and more weapons have been distributed to the people (non-educated). Since the 17th of November, all the country has been protesting asking Bill Clinton's Friend, Aristide, to leave, because there have been too many crimes, lies, starvations, robbery, corruptions, kidnappings, injustices, unemployment, and lack of higher education.
I, now more than ever, understand the reason why Haitians are fleeing their homeland by hundreds and even thousands. I quit blaming them. It seems to me that Haitians are taking chances. They are dying in Haiti and they might make it to Miami. So let's roll. We won't lose anything if we die in the ocean, for Haiti is a hell on the earth.
This past November, I had the privilege to visit Rochester in New York for the first time. While being there, I was introduced to several Saints in the Lord and I was certainly really blessed, a big thanks to each one of you, friends, at Calvary chapel of Genesee, New York.
At the same time, I was somehow shocked when I saw, one of the evenings lots of huge houses in which they raise cows. Those houses had electricity, perhaps as frequently as people there do. I had to compare that to the Haitians living condition. After a month away from Haiti, my homeland, the exchange rate has gone from 400 to over 600%. This means that there are 85% of the population who can have no access to coca cola, sprite, Pepsi mate descent meat and so forth.
Well, in my mourning and prayers before tile Lord for Haitians, I have asked if we have sinned more than any other nation on the earth. Why has Haiti's punishment been so long? Why have more Haitians been dead in the ocean than any others? Haiti, the back yard of America. Haiti, 700 miles away from Miami. On the 25th of November, my life was really in danger. Guns were all around me.
But our strength and motivation to be where we are is that there is hope for us and a crown is waiting. At this time of the year, a letter with Merry Xmas will not be that welcome to us. We would certainly feel much happier to receive a letter from you, saying, brother, we are praying for you and your country; pray for us not for Bush to come and clean Clinton's mess, as Haitians are asking all over the country, but for God to manifest himself powerfully for his Glory and his Kingdom.
Merry Xmas to you Let us know you're praying us.
