Completion of the Bridge - Needs - Report on Marie-Angie the Orphan girl that Actionnel have taken into their home.

For everyone that has been into Bayonnais and has seen our road condition are aware of the needs for the completion of the bridge and the repair of the road. We had $ 8,000.00 US$ for the bridge, which is gone already. Dimilsaint will send a financial report soon .

A local mayor here whom Mr. Morgan Dibble and attended his installation has seen how much we have done and with Firmin Saint- Louis has been working together to get some help from the 1rst Senator of Artibonite, Mr. Youry Latortue. Good and big progress has been made so far. After several trips that Firmin and the Mayor, Belony Jacques, have made to their office in Gonaives, they finally sent us a loader and a-ten-tire-dump truck. The loader is well equipped with driver and fuel. But, the ten-wheel dump truck is on our bill. For every load, we need to pay 400.00 Haitian dollars or $ 57 US$ ,which, unfortunately, we do not have at this present moment.

The whole road is awful in Bayonnais, but we are trying to take care of the very worst part in Bayonnais. If could get pay for at least 70 loads of gravel, we would make our road in Bayonnais look like I-95 in Miami and vehicles would have access to the bridge in Bayonnais.

The two nice young men that have come for the work are in the Helen Hunter's multipurpose Building sleeping now. They have been here in Bayonnais since 10:0'clock this morning. They have carried 20 loads of gravel already, starting near the Methodist church or School and they getting very close now to the MMO. This is a very big money for this time[ at least $3,990.00 US ]. We really whish we could have gotten that big amount of money here in Haiti, unfortunately.

We will need to tell them whether they should keep working tomorrow or not. OH , BOY ! I am going to stay here tonight until Wednesday evening to deal with every thing and the progress on the road. Can we think about this as another great and interesting headache again for the people of Bayonnais and in Bayonnais? Marie-Ange Aceus has been in our home since last night and was taken to the doctor this morning for a general check up. We do not know any thing about her heath condition yet. But, praise God that she has a family now by God grace.

Update on Marie-Ange's Health Condition

David Nichol's spoke to Actionnel today (May 17, 2007) and sends the following update about Marie-Ange's health:

Marie-Ange's visit for a general physical went very well. No problems were found. She is just skinny, as Actionnel said. She was born in 1989, is 18 years old, the same age Actionnel was when he left Bayonnais to go to high school in Gonaives. However, she is in 9th grade, so will be taking the 9th grade national exam in late June.
